just been reminded by someone elses thread about colours, my 110csw doesnt have the colour code on the vin plate, says colour or paint or something but no codes or anything just blank!
its a 1990 110 csw in blue but what blue i have no idea, i want to touch up some bits and get her looking good again, any help would be ace.

cheers. j

Has anyone got a vehicle that does have the paint code stamped on the VIN plate?

have you got a company called brown brothers or fleet factors near to you? if so they can brick the colour, its like an electronic colour chip device that searches through loads of colours and gives them the closest matched formulation so they can mix some for you

Get your self a Microcat for land rovers disc, I got one off ebay for a fiver it will answer all the questions you have about your landy just type in your vin number.

Worth giving Paddocks a call.... I was after 'blue' for my Defender 90 1994 and they said they ony did 'series' land rover paints. Is yours classed as a 'series' ?? I am not that hot on all the types yet.
If it is and is still the original colour blue it is possible it is 'Marine Blue'?

dont think iv got any of those paint guys around here? im pretty much slap bang in the arse end of nowhere tbh, but il have a look thanks.

for some reason i seem to remember windjammer blue was a colour for counties in 1990? i have spent a good few hours on net trying to find colour range for 1990 to very little result, youd think somewhere somebody has uploaded an early 90s brochure amongst all the other junk on google :)

as soon as i figure out how the hell you upload piccies on to here il post some up .

f7dd_1.jpg hopefully that attachment worked??? not a great pic im afraid, just realised iv not taken any since i picked it up. il take a better one tommorow.

rowley your a bloody star :) havnt been able to find one of those anywhere! well its looking like shire blue or windjammer blue. not marine as iv had that on one before and its deff darker. by the way the piccy isnt realy a good shot of colour as it was faded as hell when i got it, t-cut was a revelation! didnt expect it to be a totally diferent colour under the dead paint.

cheers fella. j

Nice one :)

Why not just drop by a dealer, there's bound to be one near you. They will know the colours on sight and have a touch up possibly. Halfords have them but Land Rover colours are limited.

Obviously not familiar with North Wales! Got to be an hours drive.

Mind you, I doubt there's a Halfords any closer!
