Anyone interested?

Now that I have the Daihatsu 2.8 TD sitting on me drive....

Would anyone be interested if I did a sort of Blog thing on here about fitting it to me Landy, you know wiv piccys etc?

Warts an all sort of stuff......





Might not be able to start it until May, but might as well see if there is any interest.

would defo be interested though the one thing i dont get with all the engine transplants is they still run through the original gear box which is always going to restrict the performance is the original engine really that bad as although i own a 109 series 3 deisal i have not yet driven it as i have only just got it running and to be fair it seems to run sweet enough and once it warms up even stops smoking

I guess its done cos it can be done....

In my case the 2 1/4 original engine was shagged, plus I put bigger tyres on, so replaced with a 2.5 NA. Now that needs an overhaul, and the 2.8 TD came up, so why not...

Did think about the Daihatsu box going in as well, but think thats beyond my skills, as it would mean re making the handrake, propshafts, gearbox mounts etc etc.

so i take it that if u put larger wheels on or change the diffs the original deisel wont have enough grunt to push it along i hope i am not sounding to stupid its just im a couple of weeks away from taking my maiden voyage and am trying to get an idea of what to expect

im sure that 'ciderman' would be interested as it seems that he is having quite a bit of trouble with his old girl at the moment it would be interresting anyway though!!
