That is a name I have seen used on structural steel work.
Its confusing the different paints available looking at the different products you can find so many miracle cures at all different prices, some say apply direct and others need a primer, I may use this one and see how it goes.

I have used it, I used the Teamac zinc rich, but same difference. Quite good if you follow the instructions about cleaning the metal.

The ones that work by galvanic action, like Galvafroid, should be applied to the clean metal direct.

Stuff like corroless is basically a premium oxide primer, they should really be overpainted with a topcoat like enamel to resist the weather a bit more. Many don't bother.

I have found some problems applying some top coats on different primers, some are incomparable, I found out when I tried to give a good coating t my new bumper. Suppose the moral is use the same brand for under and top coats, but that's not always possible.

I have occasionally found that, but I haven't found it necessary to use the same brand.

Most times I have found the problem to be to do with drying. If the solvent hasn't completely come out of the primer, it tends to bubble up in the topcoat. If the primer is ages dry, topcoat doesn't always stick on,amd needs roughening, so there is an optimal window for overpainting.
Drying times are variable depending on temperature and humidity, so it isn't always easy to get it right.

There are a very few paints that just don't get on.

Galv would stick to the cast steel no problem but you would need a good machine shop to clear out all the passages. Or you'd need to do some clever masking.
