Vince, just Read Youre Thread Ime In Barry South Wales,
Just Bought A Freelander Getting Sick Of Doing Work Runs And Taxiying, What Kinda Off Roadin You Considering??

I'm from Blackwood area, where the Manic Street Preachers are from, well the three that are left are anyway. ;)

I'm looking for a P38 Rangie in the next couple of weeks so would be up for some friendly off roading, nothing too difficult and definitely not damaging but we don't want to upset any landowners do we.....most of them have shotguns.

Anyone here a member of http://www.wyeandwelshlrc.co.uk/

I guess joing a club would be the best way of doing it?

I live near Newport and am looking to go out. Sometimes do the gap road on my KTM but would give it a crack in my Disco.

I'm a member. Only recently joined, but if you join up I'm sure you'll get to know some other members who go green laning. You could also try one of the Tyro trials they organise, which are completely non-damaging (so long as you don't do anything stupid, but the same applies to any off roading), and not too hard (even 14 year old compete ;) ). Never seen a P38 doing one yet though, but pleanty of classic Rangies and Mk1 Disco's.

hi guys im from swansea and just bought my first range rover and looking for ideas on getting it out n about time to get it dirty lol

you think a freelander driver would be welcome at the wye and welsh land rover club??
Any Land Rover driver is more than welcome mate, I've seen people turning up to event in anything from a 101FC to a Disco3. You probably wouldn't want to do a trial in a Freelander though, even the Tyro's might be a bit rough for them, but I'm sure no one would stop you if you wanted to try! :D

Cheers, Alan. I'm going to join up in the new year i think.

Do you get to the pub meets at Cardiff Gate at all?
Haven't been to one yet :( The trouble is they are weeknights, and I actually live in Bath, I'm only a member of the Wye and Welsh because my father-in-law is, and so it made sense for me to join them as well. I'm over in south Wales quite often at weekends, but very rarely during the week, so the pub meets are pretty much out for me :(

Membership application form for 2007 is now online on the club website ;) If anyone is going to the trial at Whitecliff next Sunday, I'll be there. I'll be in an E-reg grey 90 pickup if you're there and want to come over and say hello (I'll be the younger one of the two drivers driving it, as I'll probably let my father-in-law drive it as well ;) ).
