Started trying to take the steering wheel off my project 90 as I want to remove the plastic shroud from around the column. Have removed the boss cover and the retaining nut but the wheel appears to be stuck fast to the column.
I have tried whacking the spokes from behind with a rubber mallet but I don't want to get too brutal in case I damage something.
I note that there are two tapped holes on the boss diametrically opposite each other. Are these blind or can you thread a bolt right through them to ease the wheel off?
Any suggestions appreciated before I go back into gorilla mode.
