i have a set of bulldog spacers and they are certainly very good quality.

Those nuts look a little small though to be honest. :(

Whats the difference between those and hub centric ones though?

Hub centric ones are spigoted so some of the spacer locates in the hub and takes the load off the studs:)

I may be wrong about this.....

Is it just the wheel that is located on the spacer via lugs and spacer flush to hub ??

Anyone know please:)

I found this:

Wide flat spacers should be avoided. Yes they are cheaper, but as they are flat, all the load of the car is held by the wheel bolts. Hub centric spacers have a lip in the centre similar to the one on the OEM hub. This lip bears the weight as the original hub would, not the bolts. Hub centric spacers are therefore much safer. Spacers less than 10mm are usually flat, but wider than 10mm, and you should always use hub centric spacers.

In all the pictures the lugs are on the wheel side so the weight is being supported by the studs and not the hub??? The lugs look like they are there to locate the wheel on the spacer.

Understand even less now:rolleyes:

i can find that thread but im sure the wheel nuts were staying tight and the spacer coming loose, which sounds like they were not the ones supported buy the hub

None of them supported by the hub cause the back of the spacer that fits against the hub is flat!!

Thats the less then 10mm spacers, the hubcentric ones have an extra piece that takes some of the weight of the wheel.

Ive been to the garage to look at mine and they only just fit over the drive flange so when tightened up they will take weight.

That sounds like it works, don't need lugs on back then:rolleyes: Ta

These are the ones. The barstewards have dropped the price since I bought mine.

All spacer nuts are 24mm. I've used 3 different sets of 30mm and 1 set on 60mm over the years (Disco and RRC) and had no problems. Spacers threadlocked and torqued to 100lb/ft helps.

I've got my old ali ones for sale if anybody is interested.
