any one got a good 300 tdi they don't want or need.i have disco 97 es and engine needs repair as i don't know oilers no spark how does that work duh. so maybe just change it,as funds are v low can't go to garage,also put in wants.or maybe swop for rr classic

What is the problem with the engine? Perhaps someone on here can help sort it out?

been on andy and you did reply ,but as you said then with out hearing the noise its hard to identify.i have had different peeps have a look but every ones different it needs stripping to put wright but also need it running asap.
tap or knock ?
lift pump done
vac pump done
tappets done
undone injectors 1 by 1 all OK

i don,t feel i can use her in case it b/down .
no b/down cover.
