any one gas coverted a V6 [LPG]

Hi All. . .Has any one done or bought a v6 with lpg conversion[lpg] it's just that I'm intrigued to find out , how much , what type of tank, estimated mpg, and how they found it/compared to petrol. . . Ming

im sorry ming, but i realy fail to see why any one would buy a v6 freelander
and put lpg on it !
you might as well have got a td4!

V6 performance and TD4 economy.

How many more reasons do you need?

I did a few calculatons and you could run a v6 on lpg cheaper than a td4, even a disco 4.0 V8 LPG works out cheap.
The question is can you get a V6 and LPG conv. cheaper than a TD4? I could quiet fancy one myself

The initial outlay would be the same TD4 or V6 with LPG but you would make savings year on year with the LPG.

I was quoted just under £3k for an underfloor LPG conversion in my V6 Freelander. Ouch

I still run on unleaded and get a stonking 19mpg.

after running 2, 1.8 freelanders i payed £2,000 to convert a v6 after 40 thousand miles, its payed for itself twice over, iv had fewer problems than my other 1.8 and if i am going slower than the td4 its because of all the cash in my pocket.

Do you mind if I ask a couple of questions?

1) Where did you get the LPG kit from and is it DIY?
2) Where is the tank fitted and what capacity is it?
3) What affect as it had on performance & economy?

I'm very much interested as I cover approx 1000 miles per week and it would obviously pay for it self in a relatively short period of time.
