My 1999 4.6 is fitted with a multi-point sequential Landi Renzo LPG system. Having recently fitted a new air flow meter as recommended by Clutchdust the car now runs superbly on petrol but am having problems on gas. Between 1500 and 2500 revs, the car coughs, misfires and feels like it has no power, not sure if its overfuelling or underfuelling. Get past 2500 revs and everything is fantastic. My local LPG centre has told me Landi Renzo are no longer trading???!!!!! and they dont have the necessary equipment to interrogate the system. Could the system have been set up to a defective air flow meter or maybe I have a Lambda sensor on its way out. Does anyone out there have experience of these systems or know someone who has diagnostic equipment. I am on Dorset/Somerset border near Yeovil???

Hi,
I have a 4litre with a sequencial gas conversion (not the same as yours). I once had the same symptoms, fine on petrol, poor between 1500 and 2000 revs on gas. It turned out to be poor sparks. Changed the plugs and it improved, changed the leads and the problem disappeared. May or may not be relavent but worth a look.
