Any CD changer pin-outs info for my Visteon head unit?

Hi all, my first post in this forum.
Just got my first landie (Freelander 2003), was wondering if anyone
knows the pin-outs from the available plug under the passenger seat,
which comes from the standard Visteon Radio-CD fitted in the car.

I'm interested in either making up my own, or if available, getting some
aftermarket hard-drive based system for MP3's.
I've seen the iPod Ice Link connector, but it seems not available for my
12-pin plug? Perhaps I'm being an ass, and it doesn't plug into the
CD-changer cable at all, but into the back of the radio? In this case I
have no idea what plugs I've got back there.

Clearly the long term goal here is to have a nice hard-drive integrated
system which utilises the steering controls.

I'd appreciate any advice or info from people who banged their heads on
something like this before me.

OK, guess not.
I must be the first person on the planet to think of doing this.
Or Visteon head units are a bunch of crap and they don't let anyone know
their pin outs.

Try an alternative tack. There are loads of rebroadcast gadgets
available. like this:

I got one last week. Brilliant bit of kit. It allows you to play any
device with a 3.5mm audio jack, over your car radio, or any other
household radio.

Yes these are quite nice, however as I mentioned I'd like to see it a
bit more integrated with the steering controls, as well as not have to
arse around with recharging the iPod or other such device.

For example my old BMW had a lovely Hack the iBus project which allowed
you to tap in to the onboard computer harness, and make your own custom
bits for navigation, DVD, mp3 players etc.

Cheers
