Hi. Posted a thread earlier but it hasn't shown up so if this appears twice, my apologies.
Anyway, my wife is the unfortunate owner of a 2001 Freelander V6 which I now wish I'd read all the threads about them here before we bought it. We've had a constant problem with the cooling system with it regularly overheating and losing coolant. I saw a video on YouTube which claimed to explain why the V6 engine loses coolant:-

Last week however, the engine sprung a major leak with coolant pouring out from under the engine. Below are a couple of pictures showing roughly where the leak is coming from.
It appears to be leaking from somewhere behind and above the oil sump. Now, it's going to have to go to to a garage at some point to be sorted but before I get arse raped by a mechanic trying to pull one over on me I was wondering if anyone may have had the same experience and be able to tell me what the problem might be.
