hi guys , quick intro from me , i live in crewe have a crap job and have no experience of landrovers apart from previously driving one for 18 month as a work vehicle , delivering mobile toilet units 22 ft long not including A frame , for which i used either a 110 defender or a hi cap pickup , any how have saved up a grand which can either go towards a respray of my 76 mk 1 cav coupe OR a land rover , at the moment the wife is keen on a landie (she liked the work vehicle) , any advise from you folks as to what to look for , love the 110s but the practicality bit keeps saying disco diesel , any big bads to look for when on a budget , not afraid of maintainance work or even routine welding , got a mig & a arc jobbie , but really need a daily suitable drive for around the cash available.
hope to be a regular here with any luck , Pat

you'll get a good usable disco for 500 quid - use the rest for running repairs and fuel

a good 110 is going to cost at least a grand

disco's are comfy and capable......if yer really enjoy yer laning and pay and play and get the 'bug' wait and get a 90 or 110 as plenty of disco owners want one !
