Good morning all,

After a few years of toying with the idea and a couple of off-road driving days I've taken the plunge and bought a '92 Defender 110.

Figured I best register on here for when it goes wrong... when not if right?

I am a true newbie to Land Rovers, always appreciated them but never owned one. I am aiming to start a hobby, maintain / service and do some of the easier work myself.

Had a good look over the LR, appears in decent condition, top passenger corner of bulkhead looks a bit ropey but not critical yet, floors of the passenger and driver footwells look thin. Rest of the bulkhead looks good. the chasis underneath looks good, I've tapped it with a hammer the only points I am concerned about are mid-box beam under the middle of the car, again, look fine, but the noise does change at that point.

the front doors have dropped and don't shut properly - this is the first critical task, its a bit breezy u front!

Engine pulls well, has a slight water leak that needs looking at - I know zero about engines.

Low range / diffs etc all working. Rear cross-member recently replaced, wheels and tires only 6months old. Recent new front prop shaft.

and breathe... :)
