Whilst trying to track down a coolant leak, I noticed a steady stream of droplets coming of the throttle linkage. After smelling it, it was definetly diesel

I've chacked all the union connections and pipes but cant find anything a miss

After searching the forum again, I think it might possibly be the actual lift pump at fault

Could a faulty pump cause a steady droplet of a diesel to form of the throttle linkage? or could it be coming from somewhere else that I've not spotted?

Thanks

Ade

do you mean the lift pump or the injector pump?
in answer to your question, no as their two seperate items.
if it is the lift pump getting diesel on the throttle linkage, you'd deffo see the squirt!

I've not had the Disco long. and still learning about the 300tdi

Wheres the injector pump located?

I may not have described it right, but I've just googled a photo and put a red arrow where the diesel drips from (as attached), so hopefully helps

Its not a constant steam by any means but drips every other second if that makes sence

Thanks

Ade
