hi gel, looks good mate.
was reading through the Q`s and A`s
am I right in saying you have to get a rego and tax on trailors in NZ..

Hya, yeh they have to be registered to get a number plate and then taxed (licensed) each year. The license isn't a lot of $, but if you let it lapse (2 years I think), you lose your rego and that's a bit more $.

They have a WOF (MOT) as well each 6 month or year - forget which.

Almost all cars have tow bars here and trailer ownership is higher than in UK. Even saying that, almost all petrol stations have about half a dozen 8x4 trailers they rent out at £25 for the day and £12.50 for 1/2 a day - they also usually have a selection of caged and twin axle ones as well. I hired a 1T rated single axle trailer once to pick up some pavers - I underestimated how much weight there was, and popped a wheel off! The guy from the station wasn't none to happy! The L Series diesel Freelander did its job well though :)
