when i get the defender back from the garage, i will be making a fitting a home made snorkel to it :)
i would like to fit one that requires to mutilation of my lovely shiny and straight wing.
does anyone know of any way this is possible.
ive considered trying to copy the way the mass produced snorkels fit, via a plate on the intake and a 90 degree bend, but i doubt i could get a decent seel. can anyone think of any other way?

cheers

You want a bit of 5mm polythene, cut to shape, to put yer intake piping through in place of the plastic grill thing that's there as stock. Don't need to worry about sealing it then, although if you glue the fecker on with clear silicone you aren't going to need to worry about it leaking ;)

yeah, that was one of the options.
think im just gonna invest in a decent length of reinforced hose and run it through a blanking plate as u said.
got nothing to do tomorrow so may persuade dad to take me DIY shopping lol
