annoying squeek.

Hi,wondering if anyone can help.Im getting a noisy squeek from around the pulleys the same sound as you get when having a lowbattery.Ive recently changed water pump and belt,also changed tensioner pulley.Ive been told its coming from the bottom pulley.As this is a bit on the expensive side i wanted to no if anyone else has had a similar problem before i change it,

Try some belt dressing spray.

make sure the serpentine belt is not running one groove to far forward on the alternator pulley,as i had the same probs after fitting a new alternator.All looked good but looking in from the side i could see the belt was ever so slightly out of line,let the tension of the belt enough to slide it back one groove on the alt pulley and hey presto noise gone!
