been sorting bits and bobs on my 90 td5 for a while. Over the last few weeks I have acquired quite an annoying rattle when hiring bumps on roads. mainly potholes and drains etc. I got under the car expecting it to be a heat shield, Iv given the exhaust a good wobble but can't seem to find anything. I originally wasn't looking for anything machanical as it sounded like your typical "heat shield/material" rattle.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Reece

If you have a Cat it could be the internals for that rattling, get a rubber mallet and give the exhaust system a tap.

Could be any number of things, I've been hunting down rattles for months. Shock bushes, trailing arm/radius arm bushes, a frame ball joint & bushes the list goes on. Last one I found after changing all of the above was the snorkel rattling on the front of my roll cage which was transferring all the way to the back and sounded like the back door was falling off. Best get under there with a pry bar and start checking bushes :(

Cheers for your help chaps there is a landrover machanical down the road from me I might drop it there, I have done endless jobs on it but I'm loosing interest and starting to think it will be better to drop it off and pick it up haha

I have knocked the exhaust about and it isn't that, the rear door is loose on the hinges but it defo sounds like it's coming from directly under the car from the middle somewhere
