...just ordered Sync mate and EAS kicker....lets give that a go this weekend :).

Sync mate seems to be a must for people with V8s. Kicker can be useful i suppose. But your better off getting the EASunlock software and cable and finding out just why you need a Kicker. Rather than just using that if the EAS plays up. PM Datatek he does the cable and software for a giveaway price.

....just a thought, been doing a little bit more digging....could it be anything to do with wifi interference, garage door blipper, wireless door bells etc? Could explain why all this has just started happening at my house?

Could be....

Under the RH side rear parcel shelf support is the Remote RF transceiver...there is a little blue wire (ariel lead I believe) that links to the Quater Light embedded ariel.

Disconnect this ariel lead, and see what happens after you have re-synched it....if it cures the issue, you need to think about the upgraded RF box which is less sensitive to RF Frequencies....

The downside is the Remote fob will only work within a couple of feet of the car.....

The FOB will work fine with a replacement RF receiver, the range is only restricted with the aerial disconnected.
WiFi, door bells, owl electricity monitors etc and other wireless devices emitting RF interferance are a big problem with the early versions of the RF receiver.

....drum roll please....syncmate and EAS kicker arrived this afternoon...yeehaa a week after buying the car it might work properly....get home from work clutching the 2 wee pieces of magic...go out to the lopsided driveway paperweight and

....the battery is flat:doh: !!

will this never run. don't have a charger, in any case the car is too far from the house, what ya all reckon new battery (please say no...!) I assume that the alarm non sleeping BeCM have committed battery murder....planning to call the AA again in the morning to rivive the beast..thoughts?

:(

only bought the car on Friday...first of all EAS issue, car puffed up like a monster truck...had a cheque made out to Datatek to diagnose issue and on the passenger seat ready to post...however this morning it wouldn't start.... !!

So I push (yes push) the car out of the way and get the trusty 15 year old Porker out of the garage and leave the Rangey looking rather forlorn on the drive, 3 corners sat on thier butt and front passenger side up in the air!!

Car turned over, nothing catching...any ideas?

Feeling a bit fed up that I've bought a bit of a lemon, car is 4.6l Vogue on a 'Y' plate..someone tell me everything will be ok....

Cheers for any help

Rich
