First post of the newly aquired ex Mod 110 td5. It's in remarkable condition with 15k and came with a service history that only the taxpayer could cover.

Leading to my first question about the chassis. Anyone know anything about the GKN Storm S1. It says special product change. It's not galvanized but could it be uprated or hd?

So after a month running the TD5 hardtop I wanted to make it a little less like a tin can inside. I bit the bullet and went for the Dynamat. It is expensive and I looked how much it is professionally fitted (cough) so decided to do it myself. Granted some models do have alot of trim to remove first.

I used a roller as per the instructions but if you look carefully you can see my other special installation tool in the footwell behind the socket set. I fitting 12mm closed cell foam over the top and refitting the trim, I didn't use the dynaliner as it is very expensive compared to alternatives. It has made a difference on the motorway and friends have commented on the peaceful tranquility, the doors have a satisfying thud, also warms up quicker and keeps heat in much better than before. Radio clarity is also noticable. More to follow this week, headlining next which I know can be a pain.
