A while back i put a britpart 2" lift kit on my 110, once fitted it seemed like a 4" lift on the back and a 3" lift on the front. Since then, the back has sunk about an inch and the front about 2, which put on top of the defenders natural back high stance, made it look like it was trying to eat the road. A week ago, a put a winch and winch bumper on the front too, (whooo finaly:D ) and as expected, the rear has sat the same and the front sits even lower; to the point that when parked next to a stock one, the back is 3" higher, and the front is level/lower.

How can i lift the front end?!? Can you get some kind of spring spacer, or do i need to get some 3" lift springs of another company?

If you read my life story much apprechiated, Rich.

have a read thru this it's the spring length and rating for most spring manufactured for landrovers from it you'll be able to see what should be on and what Bearmach & OME springs offer as replacements but those paddock springs that are claiming 90mm are only 60 mm longer than standard so I'm not sure where there getting the other 30mm from. land rover spring specifications

Just out of curiosity why do you want a lift anyway If your using it for mainly road use and greenlaning then you don't need a lift as it doesn't improve your ground clearance at all. and the tyres your running are standard sizes so it's not like you'll be fouling the arches with them

There is more to satisfaction than length, it how hard you push, and i am talking about your springs , its all very well saying the spring gives a 3 inch lift , it probably will for an unloaded vehicle put put a ton extra on it and it could end lower than standard.
You need to specify what blift you want at what load or otherwise its a waste of time . like saying yo want a 235x16 tyre unless you say 235/70 or 235/55 the end result can be a whole lot different HTSH:)

I dident realise it was so complicated. I rarely load it heavily, i just want the front end to sit abit heigher under unloaded/light strain. Im after abit more brake over angle and axel twist articulation, the front end is letting the team down. In fact with the 2" shocks, whenever i finish an axel twist, with these springs as they are, i have to jack it up and pop the springs back in place as they are too short for the shocks and fall loose with the axel hanging.

Thanks for the replys, Rich.

wouldnt 1" spacers correct that? Yu used to be able to buy clamps that lock the springs to the mounting plate.

Dunno if yu still can tho? - yup;)

Right; For the sake of Documenting it:

I fitted two ally 40mm spacers under the front spring seats, which has lifted the front to about an inch lower than the back, perfect :D .

If anyone plans on doing this, you will need an extra shock absorber bush for each shock; you need to double up the bushes on top of the shock mount, so the body of the shock absorber clears the spacer. Also, buy some M10 bolts and lock nuts, 8cm were ideal for a 40mm spacer, even if like mine the nuts welded on the axel are imperial, it is far easier to drill them out and fit metric bolts and nuts than sorcing imperial bolts . Unless you have them lieing around that is...
