Right,
I've taken out the in-line battery fuse before the amp I think it's rated 200amp or similar and it all is working fine!!! The fuse has a crack in so I guess when under bass the fuse was playing about when the system is trying to draw lots of voltage from it.
Or a dogey fuse holder??

Anyway,
Question is, what are the risks of running it without an in-line battery fuse?? The amp itself has a 40amp fuse so anything major in surges that will pop first ?
What do you think any bad points on having it with no in line fuse? As am running without one at the min.

Thanks
Max

erm, main bad point I can think of is, erm, fire...

What happens if the cable shorts out before the amp, the fuse in the amp aint gonna help. fuse is there to protect the cable, not the amp.
