I absoloutley love this car

As my main conern about the Defender is reliability and maintenance.I dont want a vehicle where the bonnet is up all the time checking for oil leaks etc. At the end of the day i need a reliable 4x4 to get me too and throw work I am not an off roading enthusiast but a 4x4 comes in handy when the snow falls each winter.

I think you have answered your own question :)

Agree. I would like a defender too beause very occasionaly I go some horrible places after a good fishing spot. My freelander has always got me there tho, easier than I expected. Every other day, tesco, town centre etc, the freelander is reliable. Fantastic in the snow too, you dont need anythin better in my humble opinion. I just cant justify the cost and likely reliability issues associated with a defender.

I was sat in the local specialist the other day for about an hour and a half and saw 3 blokes come in looking at replacing the rear diff on their defenders...... each time I looked out to see the tratters they cant have been more than 3-4 yrs old!!!!!! Is that normal??????
