Am I blind?!

I can't for the life of me see any timing marks on the crank pulley of my V8

Is there a batch of engines with no markings or am I looking in the wrong place?

Mines a '98 3.9

It's there, mine left the factory with a white mark with the degrees either side of it... as I found out recently

Gently clean the crud off with 600 grit wet and dry and some lube like gt85 or double tt spray

Should I concentrate on the area around the indent (white portion)?

white portion will be timing mark, I'd think it'll either be about 6*btdc or it'll be tdc itself its what my cranks have had just for ease of timing I presume
