Hi All,

Thanks in advance for any help.

So my Defender 90 300tdi isn't charging the batteries, only just come on.

I have checked the exciter wire and from the looks of it and my limited knowledge the previous owner has attached a feed directly from battery to it

I have a spade connector hanging off but unsure where it should go - can't see anywhere for it to go. Pic attached

I think the alternator is fine, no battery light on once started. The rev counter works at low revs but once higher stops?

Thank You
