Alternator at fault??

Paul, did you change the alternator and did it fix it?

Yes thanks, I replaced it with a recon unit that I bought locally, some time ago now. Not a problem since.
As an aside, the dash was curling up,(the edge that butts against the screen). I got a brand new one off ebay, still in the box, for £102+£30pp. Had it fitted for £120, loads cheaper than L/R quoted me!

That's not bad, I fixed mine by buying the dash repair kit for £38 from Devon 4x4 and had my local LR specialist fit it for another £50.
