Altenator on a 200tdi

Think my altenator is knackard!

My battery was dead on saturday morning no lights left on etc to have drained it, put a new battery on which we knew was a good battery fully charged etc

seemed to be fine until went to start it again this morning & battery was drained again !

Swap back to original battery which had been on charge & it started fine etc but dad checked when i started it up & put my lights on & he said when i revved the lights dimmed.

We think its the altenator but when looking theres a 45amp & a 65 amp, does anyone know which mine will need? our mechanic friend said he wont know until he gets in there & has a look

also anyone else had this problem & was it the altenator ?

As long as you get a 200tdi alt it doesn't matter, the 45 tends to be on Defenders, the 65 on Disco's. I would always fit the bigger one anyway.

Look on CCW Tools site, he sells all the alternators for the Landy models including uprated ones at very good prices and they are all good brands.
