Alote of smoke from exhaust and lose of power

Hi am new to this just seen if any one can help I have a 2005 face lift td4 freelander and am get a lot of smoke out the exhaust after few min of start up and was thinking the turbo has gone as engin was jamming out when trying to start took the fat turbo pip of and it started with lots of blue smoke all the back and also smelt like routing eggs the is a lot of oil sitting in side turbo any ideas would help as am new to all this thanks

I'd put rotting eggs smell down to a cat issue myself but I'm no mechanic, does sound like a fecked turbo, only other area I've seen blue smoke is the gaskets blown. I've never had that issue with my land rovers though. Wife's impreza did do the same when her turbo failed though.
