Hi All,

A little review for anyone doing their own self build (or upgrades) and wanting to get some shiny bits from Allisport.... don't bother!

I first engaged them (via email) on Feb 19th this year. This is after several failed attempts to get them on the phone. I was told that they were very busy, and it would take 3 weeks to get my work done. This was fine by me, as I had 4 or 5 weeks easily until I wanted to fit the oil cooler and radiator. I also asked them to add an expansion tank to the order.

on the 7th week since the order was placed (with a couple of chase emails in between), I called Andrew and told him that he needed to set my expectation as I now needed the parts. He informed me that some raw materials were on order and would be there any day. I made it clear that I needed an update soon to tell me when the parts would be ready.

It is now the 9th week from order, and I emailed Andrew yesterday to cancel my order. In fairness to him, he did email back and say that they could start my work right now and get the rad & oil cooler ready "asap"... but I'm afraid the trust just isn't there. "asap" is not exactly a deadline either. I salute the fact that they've clearly got a good deal of popularity and their business is flooded with orders.... but this is now at the expense of customer service. I've read similar stories recently, but like to find out myself sometimes.

so, on advice from a couple of members on here, I've approached Rad-tec and Alu-tec, both based in Cannock. I'll let you know how I get on with them.

Thanks

Adam

I have every sympathy for you Adam & precious little with the company. There's too much of this 'we've got plenty of work, so we'll accommodate you when we are a bit slacker' attitude these days. Companies would do well to remember that reputations are easier to lose than gain.

Just to add a difference, my experience of Andrew at Allisport is excellent. I've had a lot of work done and ordered and things sent on time without any excuses or delays, the product is great.
Also if you need anything in the way of advice he's always got back to me within a few days.
Although I agree it's frustrating to be in your position, don't assume it's the same for everybody. Without these guys developing and producing quality after market products we would not be able to extend our horizons.
Again in this circumstance it's a real ****er but don't write them off.
And no I'm not getting any loyalties,, I wish..

I had a similar experience with my order in Jan this year. Business has clearly ramped up this year and I know they have some new customers and products out all in the same quarter. Hopefully they will be able to turn things round in the near future.

did u see the op date , lol

Yes was replying to landshandy! :p

QUOTE="Landshandy, post: 4204864, member: 120860"]How easy is it to fit the intercooler? Does it make a big difference? I have stage 1 remap[/QUOTE]

Defender, pretty easy bout an hour or so. Fit quality silicone hoses with it.

Difference yes. More torque lower down, denser air, less smokey, better mpg. Plenty about them on here
