and all my saved threads

if saved threads = old bookmarks saved on your computer
simply do a search for the thread title

e.g. :
if old bookmark address be ... * https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/bmw-crankcase-breather.170050/
do a site search for ' bmw crankcase breather ' ..

* btw: that addy is Not from the old site

that's how i found threads from the old site .. when i realized the old saved bookmarks were now defunct

( i've no clue about ' albums ' or anything else that were saved on the old site itself )

The albums were a know part of the old site that wasn't carried over on the "initial release". Not sure if they ever did get carried over. Even if they got carried over as 'Threads' on a forum it would be good to see.

Is the 'old' site still accessible. I might be able to recover my files from it. Is there a similar facility on this site where we can post photos and text about our own experiences with the FL?

I don't think the old site is accessible. Whether old content can still be brought over by the developers, I don' know.

I really struggled with the new site. However, I've done my own styling overrides to make it work how I want it to - or at least much closer to how I want it to within the limits of being able to override the site's structure and styling. I'm quite happy with it now. The overrides I made only work in FireFox but there may be ways of adapting what I've done to make it work in other browsers. For info see here....

I haven't bothered changing the pages I use infrequently and there are some 'bugs' in what I've done - eg the popup member info overlays the Like, Reply (etc) buttons for short posts so I have to click into the post's test then tab to the link and hit enter.

As with the new site - you may need to hit the link - then hit the link again once your browser has cached all the images. I find that the # bit of the links which goes to specific posts go there, but then images further up the thread are read and pushes the page down so its no longer where you were directed - if you then load it again with the images cached - it goes to the right spot.

Thanks for the info' it may well be a lost cause. I'm wanting to update my commentary on the FL. Epicuser? had a good write up on what to look for when buying a FL. Was that carried over? Also I was following the wing bracket and turbo fitting and VCU rebuilt threads - these were all marked and read / re-read with interest. Following threads was a got feature.
