I have a 2005 TD5 110 and it has the factory alarm.
The sounder is a horn behind the NS headlamp.
There was a connector for a BBUS (battery back up siren) so
l have fitted a BBUS on the bulkhead with a relocation cable.

My question is, do l disconnect the original sounder or leave both connected?

Our 2003 90 TD5 has a BBUS which must have been specified as an option when new. It doesn't have the horn sounder as well, just the connector hanging down.

Personally I would set the alarm off to see if both are working, if so leave both connected as will probably create more noise if set off!

Mine (96 300) has the standard alarm which I think is the same, both the horn and BBUS sound when the alarm activates, the horn is on constant and the BBUS does its own thing (pulsing sounder)
