2006 td4: We have a problem with the alarm going off, only seems to do it when it rains. I thought it may have been the rear door as quite often it was hard to shut but since replacing the little springs the door shuts ok now.
I read that it could be the microwave sensor in the roof lining so ive taken it out. Is it ok to do this? the part number is YWC106313, there seems to be another number that also does the same thing, YWC106310.
Anybody have any thoughts?
Cheers

Yep take it off and see

Mine used to go off ja few minutes after I'd locked it - nothing to do with rain though.

Don't know if the two are any different, I just bought one the same as my old one.

Are you getting any drips anywhere inside the cab when it rains? drips might be enough to set off the sensor ..just a thought :)

is any body using a taxi because it is raining .as some of these taxi cabs radios can upset the alarm system. usually it is because they have there coax in a coil instead of either cutting it down to suit or spreading it around the boot putting coax in a coil and then transmitting make a inductor and can cause spurious emissions .

There isn't any drips that I can see but when it rains the car does get very damp inside and the well in the boot gets soaking. I did read that the microwave sensor can pick up this dampness which is why I removed it. Might be barking up the wrong tree tho. I've had the horns unplugged for a while now which is not good but nervous of reconnecting them.

Do you have an electric sunroof? maybe the sunroof drain tubes are blocked and causing interior damp.

Not sure if the 3 door manual sunroof has drain tubes though.
