Right here's an odd one, brought a Disco 1 van (sorry 'commercial') 1998 on a R, 300tdi and all is dandy, but the other day I was driving along minding my own business when what appeared to be the hazard lights came on and wouldn't switch off.
the engine was running fine and the indicator switch seemed to operate normally from the feel of it (couldn't check the actual indicators as they were already operating), when I pushed the hazard switch the red hazard triangle illuminated on the dashboard clocks, so then that ruled out the hazard lights being at fault.
I turned off the engine and restarted it and the problem had gone, all indicators and hazards worked as they should.
It happened twice more that day, same senerio, engine off and back on again and problem gone.
That night the remote key fob wouldn't do anything and I had to lock all the doors manually, next morning keyfob worked as normal and problem has not returned but it is bugging me as to what it was.........
