Alarm activating Range Rover Vogue

Morning all help need please, recently purchased 2010 Range Rover Vouge TDV8 3.6, on locking the doors with key fob the alarm activates, not full blown with horn and indicators but a siren type alarm, unlock with fob and it stops, but after a while the car automatically locks itself alarm activates again, unable to stop this process unless leave a door open, going round in circles with this, eventually after many locking and unlocking attempts the car locks with no alarm, the alarm does not randomly activate its only during the locking process, hope this makes sense any help ideas appreciated, DirkS

Have you tried the following.

Press the lock button twice quickly when locking and see if that makes a difference.
