Hi all
Can anyone advise whether the oil level in Ser III filter is supposed to
spill over into the inner ring through the small holes and be the same level
as in the outer "ring" of oil.
Any quick response so I can close up and carry on would be appreciated.

The oil level label was on the outside of the casing - it's probably
gone by now! I think that the level mark was also pressed into the
outside casing - it's at a level about 0.85 litres up from empty.

Are you aware of this site yet?

I see the mark on the outside ring but the small holes between inside and
outside "rings" are nearly at the same level and the oil runs through the
small holes when the outer level is reached.

Fill to the mark and don't worry about the transfer. The holes are there
by design and transfer is going to occur anyway. If I had time I'd try
to find you a proper explanation - but I haven't.

Yes. Both the outer and inner parts are filled to the same level - that's
why there are holes to make sure both are filled. Level is to the step in
the outside.
