Depends on make, model, and year of fridge. Some of 'em peel off easily, some of 'em will take the paint off the door and some the sticker just tears unless you use hot water and a decent scraper, but make sure you get a 'proper' scraper, not a cheap 'fridpart' one, they're cheap crap that will screw the fridge door and the sticker as well !!

Watch your fiingernails and tips, those stickers can give wicked paper cuts, that really hurt and make you cry ... er .... unless you're big and butch of course.

Take your time, do it slowly and refer to the manual for detailed sticker peeling instructions, it's all in there if you'd bothered to search you lazy git.

;)

I have been observing this thread with great interest. It is but a simple job to remove snow flake symbol from hevac unit display, what amazes me is that with all the wisdom shown on this forum no one has actually yet described the procedure. Firstly wait for a very cold day switch ignition on and observe snow flake symbol, disconnect battery and place on trickle charge. Remove engine, gearbox and front and rear axles. Remove interior and send for re-upholstery. Carry out major rework on all removed items, liners pistons, new gearbox, transfer box as required. Replace all removed items. This should have taken approx three months and it should now be midsummer. Replace battery and switch on ignition note that snow flake symbol has now been removed from display. Job done.

I find it better to get an 12mm long reach drill and just drill straight through the dash pod and take the symbol out that way:D

Make sure you use a dormer drill though lol:p

I find C1150 series make a much neater hole than standard twist drills. Especially in the plastic. Maybe worth a thought.

shirly using a 8" core drill would take out the entire dash panel, therefore preventing any such dash related issues from happening in the future ?

how come you never said this from the start.......simples :D

Quite simply because it wouldnt have made me smirk, and this thread would not have reached 7 pages and rising - I take it you have read all the pages and are now understanding the sense of humour required for attending the forum and owning a P38.:welcome2:

So long as you remember to disconnct battery first to avoid all those nasty sparks and short circuits. They play havoc with the BECM i understand.
