I had the same from Island. Last time I went there. Had to threaten court action to get my money back. Phoned Hella and they sent one to Allparts for the same price. Fitted perfectly. Interestingly they said they don't supply Island so where that one came from is a mystery.

Am i right in assuming the condenser mounts in front of the oil/gbox cooler? I can't see anything at all for the tabs on the condenser to bolt up to! I'm wondering if I'm missing something.
Also, i thought I'd check out the fan operation. In nanocom, there's 4 on/off options, fuel pump relay, ebox fan, condenser fan and cvs valve. The first operates, but the rest give a communication error. This is with ignition on, engine off.
Does engine need to be running or do i have other problems?
Thanks!

See post #12. You need two of these. https://www.jaguarparts.com/oem-parts/land-rover-strap-btr6514

I need to look at RAVE I must have missed something because I am not aware of any electronic control of the aircon fans that would allow diagnostics to operate them
I take it that screen applies to the P38?
Yes P38 motronic>motronic>outputs
Assumed it would be related to however it decides the fans need to come on when it's getting hot

On the diesel, the aircon fans cannot be operated from diagnostics, on the V8 there is an overheat control from the engine ECU, so it may e possible to force operation of the fans on the V8, I don't go near V8's so I cannot check that.

+1 Kermit, that also works on GEMS. Before I got my nano I also got the fans working by jumping the relevant relays in the fuse box
Cheers. Is it a worry the nano won't talk? Or does the engine need to be running? It checks for faults ok and activates the fuel pump relay, so there is some communication there

With the nano sometimes you just need a following wind, Kermit. if you get comm errors then it's best to shut down and restart the nano, and go straight to the module you want. The (GEMS) ECM one works at ignition on, but partial functionality - "engine running" is the sure way to access all, but irritates the neighbours, I have found

Guessing i won't be able to get it gassed up anytime soon, but having the electric fans on just seems like the healthy option!!
Probably need to replace the dryer too as it's been open to the elements for years
Got my car regassed last Saturday at Kwikfit, so don't let lockdown stop you! Bonus was no wait :)
