Had my aircon pressure tested and confirmed there was a leak from the condensor and was given a price of £450 to replace, so I ordered a new one and decided to do it myself.
Can anyone confirm if I have to remove my bumper on my 2001 p38 4.0 to gain access to the condensor. Rave tells me I have to but I read on here that I don't have to but I didn't know if it was only for certain year/models.
Just trying to get info before I do it at the weekend

Appreciate any info:confused:

Worst part is the two bottom bolts that you need to get at through the lower grill. I used a magnet to pull them out after i undid them and the same to replace before doing up. Job is an hour max.

Got home from work and made a start on removing my old condensor. I loosened the nut in the top pipe and pulled it out of the way to gain access but while trying to undo the bottom pipe I rounded the nut and my spanner wont grip any more.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to undo it without causing any more damage. I thought about vice grips but thought I'd ask first
Thanks
