Hi there,

I know that there are many faults which occur with the air suspension I wondered if anyone could help me with this one. I have a 1998 RR 2.5HSE Diesel Auto . Just yesterday, the suspension took ages to even try and get to normal, with the Mid lamp still flashing whilst I was driving. Then, the Hi ride one came on with the 35MPH warning, then all lights came on then, different ones at different times, meanwhile, the car is like driving a bucking bronco.

Next day I checked things out. Again, the lights were going berserk but as I watched whilst the car was parked, the rear rose to full height then when it got there went down to the stops immediately and proceeded to repeat this. I have checked out the bags, connections, pipes etc and all ok. I had a new height sesor switch so fitted it to the front. Now what happens is nothing at all. All of the lights come on, along with the 35MPH warning and the compressor does not fire up. Any ideas ?

The height sensor change may mean you need to calibrate the EAS using T4 and the EAS calibration blocks. You can usually get away with out it, but maybe there is a problem. Did you use the correct type sensor for the year?

Your inital issue sounds like a worn out compressor.

Download the free EAS software from RSWsolutions, get a cable from ebay and read the faults. Sounds like the front is not moving so the rear goes back down. It will not recover once you have the 35mph message unless you read and clear the faults.
