Disco 2 Air suspension plip / remote - can it be programmed with a Hawkeye?

Well, finally got the starting issues fixed (I hope!). Thought we cured it with a rebuild of the filter housing but only lasted a day or 2 then problems again, albeit not so bad, but now been back to the garage for full set of genuine injector seals and washers. Fingers crossed this has cured it permanently!

Anyway, whilst it was playing up I managed to get my hands on a Bearmach Hawkeye diagnostics gadget (the original one not the very new model). I've also got my hands on one of the green air suspension remote plips. This doesn't have a barcode but does have a code inside the fob which is apparently all that's needed to program it.

The question is, will my Hawkeye do this or does it need to be a Nanocom (I've read forums that say that both will do it but can't for the life of me find how to do it with the Hawkeye).

If it can, has anyone done it and would their be any chance of an idiots walk-though guide (before I do what idiots usually do with a new toy and completely bugger up something or other by messing with settings I don't understand!!)? I've tried searching other posts and can't see anything that explains the process but would appreciate a link if I've missed a previous post.

I know the nanocom will do it, as it uses the code on the inside of the fob. BUT I thought the hawkeye needed the full "bar" code to program a replacement fob. Sorry , I know this does not help you.
Having said that, there is an online spreadsheet that "may " allow you to generate a "full" code from the 6 digit code in the fob.

As I cannot verify if it works then try it at your own risk...................
If you have the full codes for one of your working key fobs, then you could reverse engineer the code using the spreadsheet and see if the 6 digit code in the keyfob and full code I assume the hawkeye will show you match up , if that makes sense....

That's great thanks. Appreciate the "at your own risk" and will bear that in mind.

Just gotta work out how to program the code with the Hawkeye now - that's something to entertain me this weekend!

did you find out how to programme with hawkey - if so how did you do it? Exactly same position as you were.
