Sorry if it’s come up before , could not find it.

A) on air suspension where do people use trolley jack to lift vehicle.
B) Has anyone found a locating pad to fit in trolley jack saddle that would fit existing chassis locations ?

Many thanks

By far the easiest way is a small old style discovery bottle jack form a disco 1.
Ignition off and all doors shut, then place the jack under the fattest part of the lower arm, be amazed as you take some weight the car notices and lowers that corner air bag which actually picks the wheel off the floor as it rotates around the jack!

The mercedes sprinter jack will lift the chassis as its a two stage jobby and can lift quite high, but its nowhere near as stable as the old disoc bottle jack under the arm.

If working on the car always and I mean always put a stand under the chassis, I dont normally bother with the older models, but these are seriously heavy buggers, I got my shoulders stuck under the towbar once as I let the jack down.
Im not being a h+s nazi in fact Im bit of a nightmare when it comes to this sort of thing, but even I think its a good idea.

If you jack the car with any of the doors open, ign on or off the suspension will not self adjust, dont bang your head on the door bottoms.
