Hi All,

I'm about to fit some Dukes of Hazzard air horns, a bit like the ones below, to my 110 but I'm not sure whether to put them on the roof in front of the sun roof, on the radiator on the front (I think that would look cool!) or in the engine bay.

I'm also not sure whether to get red or chrome ones!

I'm struggling to wire them in as the instructions from Kentucky are a bit confusing.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks!

Be careful. It is probably legal to fit these, but I believe it is illegal to use them on the road. Check on this, but I think you will need to wire them to a separate switch so that you can use them at shows or whatever.
Pesonally, unless you're driving a Dodge Charge, they sound a bit naff.

They are illegal unless sounded all at the same time.
It's perfectly legal. You might still need a separate non musical horn for the MoT/C&U, but nothing to prevent you having them legally. And lets not forget most horns are two tone anyhow, so make two noises at the same time.

So musical horns are perfectly legal except if used on the public highway....

That's clear then :D

Dual horns sound both at the same time. Sounding separate tones in sequence is illegal. Therefore sounding musical air horns that play a tune is illegal because they play separate notes sequentially. Musical horns became illegal in around 1973 as i recall. If you had them there was a switch to change how they were sounded. Either sequentially or all at the same time. Playing them all at once maybe ok but they are certainly illegal if they play a tune on the highway. ;)
