air con issue

Hi all,

My air con works fine for about 5 minutes then drops out with a fault warning appearing in the controller display and the a/c is still 'on'. Stopping the engine and restarting, re-sets the a/c and again it runs for 5...

Any ideas? Relay perhaps... I'll stop guessing, haven't got a clue with a/c.

By "fault warning" do you mean the book symbol on the HEVAC display?

Yep, the very same. However, today it has behaved itself so it's an unreliable unreliability!

Any clues?

Dodgy connections, bad earths, HEVAC unit itself, compressor clutch, sensors, the list goes on. Need to get the codes read.

you could take it to kwik-fit to see if it needs the gas topped up or have a leak,but as data said you realy need the codes read first
