air con condeser leaks

Hi, I have just been informed by a garage that my air con condesing radiator is leaking, they didn't show me where it is but said it would cost 350 + vat to replace.
Is this a possible D.i.y job and does anyone know how to replace it.

had the same a few weeks ago, took the route of replacing the condensor, reciever/dryer and txv valve myself. the quotes i got were £400+ +vat

both myself & others have a few posts of the forum with work instuctions

i did my own as per the link and found there are few surprises. though have a few words of wisdom:
take your time - DON'T rush it!!!
get new o-rings & plenty of as the originals have probably perished
use good tools as LR nuts & bolts are usually crap quality

other than that, the job was straight forward

if you have any problems with your a/c then do'nt hestitate to get in touch i'm a a/c engineer and i've done about 18 p38 this year including mine you only need to change the condensor and the o rings there about 150.00 and get it pressure tested and vac'd properly for everything to work right whole job take me about 3 hours but allow a day
as i say any problems get in touch as i'm molie cover most parts of southern england

Thanks for advice, I'm going to tackle the job when I have finished diy kitchen Which could be a few years yet! However, what would it cost me for re-gas & vac. Cheers.
