Hi,can anybody give me info. on why the airbag warning light has come on, how do I know which bag the light indicates? Do the airbags have a 'shelf life' Is it likely I can find the fault myself without any specialist tools? Any help will be appreciated. Disco 300tdi '95 model. thanks. longhoursjohn.

dunno too much about air bags except the need to disconnect the battery about 30 mins before going near the air bag. also don't be tempted to put a multi meter across the bag as i've heard this can set them off. unless you hear different from soimeone else ah reckon you'll need to go to a main staeler.

ok, don't panic, if the orange airbag light has come on, that means there is a fault with the power supply going to the airbag aso there is no worry of it going off. airbags have a shelf life of ten years so it stands a chance you need new detonators, these are the expensive bits that make the airbag go off, you need to take it to your main dealers or an airbag specialist, of which there aren't many around. sorry to be the bearer of bad news ;)
