My NonAirCon / No Sunroof - D9 2009 - has a footwell leak - deffo passenger - possibly driver - but my shoes are always wet so it’s hard to tell.

car can be parked in heavy rain, no issues - but after 5 mins of driving it dumps a certain amount of water onto my rubber mats - then no more.

I have scourced it as far as a grid/vent in the footwell.
If I prod it there water there.
I normally have the blowers/heat on windscreen setting.

so I’m asking, is this leak common? What’s the other side of the vent / flap and is it easy to clear.

It has to be a seal, blocked drain? I’ve checked door seal. Looks fine. Windscreen looks good too.

thx

Doesn’t leak in heavy rain but leaks when driving is an odd one. Windscreen to bulkhead seal (foam) can become hard and leak. Where the seals have to follow the right curves can let water in. Is there water in the heater vent access following rain that then ends up in the footwell?

If you used a dye colour to find the water ingress you will wonder why you ever bought the vehicle. There is a pdf for land rover 90/110 water ingress you can download. This give you the common areas the company omitted to fill in. Good luck been there done that as many here will spit chewing tobacco on the ground will testify.

and when you think you’ve got the all covered a trickle comes in!!!

they leak like a sieve tbh. Bulkhead to windscreen my bet too but could be the windscreen bulkhead brackets, door seal, windscreen itself. If you saying it’s coming straight for footwell, there’s actually a hole (Atleast on td5s there is) for left hand drive aircon too.
