Hello to all.
As a way of getting a new toy for myself i have just bought the wife a 1993 Disco V8 as a valentines pressie for getting dirty as she wanted to have a hobby and we really needed a second car. The disco has been lifted 2", a snorkel fitted, mud friendly tyres, diff guards and so on, SS exhaust and so on... Now just got to get it off road. I spent several years green laning MX bikes around Essex and Wales (legally) and thought it would be a good past time and something we could do as a family. (got a 18month old daughter too) The wife needs to have a proper go her self, a bloke at Rochford 4x4 took her round and scared her stiff and she really enjoyed it. Was thinking of taking her to Bures on the 1st March. Is there likely to be people there that can come out with you for a little instruction. i'd normally go barreling into these things but with the wife with me i don't want to put her off on the first outing.
Other than that are there any clubs worth joining to mark maps up with lanes and do events and so on.

or start a thread asking for like minded peeps in your area bound to be 1 or 2 near you that'll let you tag along and get some experience/idea of what its about
