Hi Chaps,

Im quite aware this has been covered a number of times but everything i have found online is from years ago and all the pictures are long gone!

I've got a 1987 van panel '90 currently, im looking to refine it slightly. I'd like to stick new seats in the front for this reason. I appreciate you are limited with regards to the seat box, and have heard you can fit RRC seats, but due to the added thickness of the seat you gain height that you wouldnt otherwise want. This would be a bonus if i can make it work because i've got a project classic i could nick the seats out of.

I'm a panelbeater by trade and therefore i could potentially modify the seat box to make this a more permanent solution, and in doing so also deal with the loss of cubby box access.

Am i barking up the wrong tree? I've worked on a few land rovers but i've never had to mess around with a seat box. Could I modify it to drop the height of the seat mounting point and in doing so also change the access point to the under seat storage?

Thanks in advance!

Not anything I know about, but this months LRO magazine has a small advert/promo thing about using Mazda RX-8 seats.
