Hi,

Just wondering if anyone knows a quick hack to bypass an after market immobiliser to get my defender back on the road. I know this might sound dodgy but I own the vehicle and cant drive it!!!!!
I lost my only working and the master bullet fob!

If there is no bypass do I need to follow each wire back and re join? Its a MI600 micro scan. It was installed by the previous owner in 2008, I now own the defender and plan to make my own secret switch immobiliser.

Many thanks
Gray

Well if you know the make & model you may be able to download the installation instructions, Haynes manuals would make a statement along the lines of 'removal is the reverse of installation!.

The original immobiliser can be controlled by a combined ignition key and door switch sequence. This is for when you lose the fob, or if the fob fails, etc. If you know the make and model it may have a similar manual input system you could find on t'internet.

WOW I did not think about the possibility of door switch and ignition sequence. I will research more now!! I know to re program it you need to open the door and introduce the red fob (the one I lost).
