Hi
I am after a project landrover partley becaus of the romance and part becaus I have a new ish job welding and fabricating in an enganeers. Work seem pritty keen on me yousing it to lurn lots of diferant fabricating techneek and improve my welding from the curent good diy state to a profecional standard. Some of the old boys seem pritty happey to give up weekends to help with some of the meeneal or non enganeering jobs and I think are looking forward to the prospect of geting to do somthing diferant. Even if thay are teaching.
I am after a 2 or 2a but this has a little to do with the fack thay are tax exempt so I keep checking older 3's. Obveousley I am not after one with an mot and can fabricate allot but maby not a whole new shacey. But I don't know haw I can tell if a landy is to far gon to save or not? I allso don't know hawmutch I shuld be looking at spending on the vehical to start? Or wher to find Brocken 40 year old cars?
Any help and advice will be apreceated and I know I need to hear it so I remember all the hart ach a prodject like this will bring but the less sinical advice the better.
Iv thought ov tooring lockel farms looking for laid up landys in fealds and going from there but ther must be other ways. Price of one is allso an ishoow. I know ther geting rarer but a fogotern landrover in a feald or barn canot be worth that mitch?
